Refunds & cancellations

This policy applies to professional engagements described on this Site — audit planning, fieldwork coordination, working paper review, and internal control walkthroughs — once fees have been invoiced under an engagement letter.

Eligibility

Refunds are considered when we cancel an engagement for reasons within our control, when a paid deposit covers work we have not started and you cancel within the cooling window below, or when a written estimate error is attributable to us and you decline to proceed.

Timeframe

For deposits paid before work begins, you may cancel for a full deposit refund within five business days of payment, provided we have not held a kickoff meeting or begun document review. After that window, refunds are partial or unavailable depending on work already performed.

Full or partial refunds

• Full refund: cancellation within the five-day window with no kickoff or file work started; or cancellation by us before delivery.
• Partial refund: if planning or review work has started, we invoice time incurred at agreed rates and refund any unused deposit balance.
• No refund: completed deliverables (issued planning memo, completed review note, finished walkthrough pack) and days of fieldwork already attended.

Non-refundable items

Third-party costs pre-approved by you (for example, specialised translation of sample documents) are non-refundable once ordered. Fixed administrative booking fees stated in an engagement letter, if any, are non-refundable after the cooling window.

Process

Email hello@aipoweredappsnetwork.digital with your engagement reference, payment date, and reason. We confirm eligibility within five business days and state any amount still due or to be returned.

Processing time and method

Approved refunds are returned by the original payment method within fourteen business days of approval. Bank transfers may take additional clearing time depending on your institution.

Cancellation and rescheduling

You may reschedule a scoping call at no charge with at least two business days’ notice. Fieldwork days cancelled by you with less than five business days’ notice may be charged at 50% of the booked day rate if we cannot reassign the team. We will attempt to rebook within the same season.

Deposits, no-shows, and work already started

Deposits secure calendar space during peak year-end periods. A no-show for a confirmed on-site day without notice may forfeit that day’s fee. Once document review or drafting has begun, fees reflect time spent even if you later pause the engagement.

Exceptions

Mandatory rights under Taiwan law are not limited by this policy. Engagement letters may set additional terms for large multi-site projects; where they conflict on refund mechanics, the signed letter controls for that engagement.
